This painting was the first of Jeanne's Sister Series depicting relationships between Native and African women. Along the Trail of Tears, stations in life were unimportant...forgotten. People united for survival. The only thing these two women see or feel is another woman in the midst of a shared tragedy and facing an equally unknown future. They have joined hands...united by the need for support and for the need to give support...they are not alone. They are Sisters through this Journey.
Our Native American art tiles are ceramic with custom easel backs attached, usually available in 6x8 and 8x10 sizes. The easel backs have hinged hangers and are ready to set on your shelf or hang in a grouping or as an accent piece in a special spot.
